Works well. With optical audio, as long as the jack fits properly, for the most part either it works or it doesn't. And in this case, it works.
Can't beat the price and its the same as what you would buy retail, but only a fraction of the price.the shipping was more than the cord.
Well, there's no difference besides the price. I bought one of these optical cables 2 years ago and I've used it since without incident. Also, there's no noticeable difference between these cables and the "premium" cables you can find at retail electronics stores. As a buyer, the only thing I'd be careful with is making sure you want a 6 foot cable. It works great for my setup but you might want a larger one.
I just bought a surround sound system and used this Digital Optical Audio Cord for my TV-Receiver connection. I'm no audiophile, but can say that this cord does the job and is priced very well.
I just needed such a cable. The discount mega-store had a 3' for $14 and I bought this 6' for about $7. Tripp litt might not be a well known household products company but they are very large in commerical backup systems.
